Steve, the former Hampshire number 2, won national and county titles to name a few.

Steve also won all 3 of his matches in his one representative match against Scotland, although he is quick to point out that Andy Murray was not playing then!

Steve who in 1985 passed his coaching exams with the highest USPTR coaching qualification, was interviewed in 2005 at Queens Club by the LTA for the top coaching position in the UK.

He also appeared on Sky Sports, and again during the 2004 Davis Cup final for his coaching views.
As a Sports Psychologist, apart from tennis players, Steve has helped a top downhill skier, and several golf professionals including one on the European Tour. Remarkably not only his players speak highly about his tennis coaching ability, but qualified coaches do as well

As a qualified ETTA coach, Steve is also available for table tennis coaching, having qualified for the English Open where he played the World Singles Champion Hasegawa from Japan.
