Julian played in the National Student Championships in 1993, and was a key member of the Exeter University team that made the semi-finals in 1994. He gave up his full time teaching career in 2002 to form a tennis coaching company, Acestars in Berkshire. In travelling to Spain to meet Steve in 2004 at a coaching conference, Julian relocated to Maidstone in 2006 to concentrate on full time coaching for P.H.T.A. and at Kings School Rochester.

By specialising in the very young juniors and ensuring they develop very sound basics in the game at an early age, Julian has been almost solely responsible for many red, orange & green ball tournament victories achieved by the PHTA young juniors.

Julian’s enthusiasm and passion for the game can be appreciated by juniors & adults who attend his coaching, whether it be in a group or a private lesson.
