• Entry closing date is 6.00 p m on the Sunday before the event date.

• Cancellations must be notified to the organiser by the Monday morning before the matchplay on the Friday. ALL cancellations are acknowledged. Cancellations received after the Monday will be processed as a withdrawal and no refund of entry fee is allowable for those players who have been accepted into the event.

• Acceptance & start time will be sent by email on the evening of the Tuesday before the matchplay date.

• Matchplay events are played under LTA Grade 6 tournament conditions and count towards ratings only.

• ALL players must have British Tennis Membership and hold a current players rating.

• Players will normally play two matches. Each match consists of two sets. If the match reaches one set all then a match tiebreak (first player to win 10 points with 2 clear points at 9 all) will be played in place of a third set. This format counts as a three set match for LTA ratings purposes.

• If short on time, the organiser can change the match format to short sets (tiebreak at 4-4) with ‘sudden death’ being played at Deuce. Should the score reach one set all, a match tiebreak (i.e. first player to win 10 points with 2 clear points at 9 all) shall be played to decide the match. This shortened format also counts as a three set match for LTA ratings purposes.

• Whilst every effort is made to put players into groups of the same rating, this is never guaranteed. Players will always get one match of their own rating, but must accept that on occasions they may play against a player of a lower or higher rating.
